- Chicago Section IFT Suppliers’ Night 2011: Over 3000 food technologists and leaders in the food technology industry gathered at the nation's largest regional food technology exhibition. This year's theme was on "Innovative Food Ingredients and Flavors. In one afternoon we heard from suppliers and food science experts from all over the worldabout new food ingredients and flavors related to Culinary, Health and Wellness, and Sustainable Sources.
- ASQ 2011 Energy & Environmental Conference: The ASQ Energy and Environmental Division's 38th Annual Education Conference was held in Las Vegas, NV. The theme of the conference was on “Implementing Effective Energy, Environmental, Renewable and Sustainable Quality Program Tools”. EMNS presented the Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel implementation success in a true, multi-tier, supply chain quality project. A paradigm buster with many suppliers at different levels in their supply chain all providing certification and test results for their material processing contribution to the extended production process deployed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation Nuclear Fuel.

- IAFP 2011 Annual Meeting: The International Association for Food Protection celebrates 100 years of providing food safety professionals worldwide. EMNSSM-GSQA®, presented GSQA® for food industry supplier and supply chain partner quality assurance including ingredient validation (e-COA®), web-based nonconformance management, regulatory document management, supplier scorecarding, ranking, and comparisons, and one-click traceability for root-cause analysis and production improvements.
- IFT 2011 Annual Meeting & Food Expo: The IFT, Institute of Food Technologists had high attendance and of course, lots of food. GSQA®, our web based supply chain quality management solution, showed many of the visitors various quality solutions (specification distribution/sign-off, material validation (e-COA®), audit/certification management and web-based nonconformance management) focused on issues that face food producers today. - 2011 Food Safety Summit: The Food Safety Summit this year proved the food industry is mobilizing to protect our food supply chain. With the passing of the Food Modernization Act, food producers must focus their efforts on how to comply with the FDA's new documentation requirements without adding significantly to costs. - ASQ 37th National Energy and Environmental Conference: ASQ focused on quality assurance methods in the design, construction application and operation of nuclear power facilities, gas and oil facilities, research facilities and other complex projects where quality assurance is vital to the success of the organization.
