Leading Industry Projects:
- World’s largest toy manufacturer has begun a GSQA deployment to toy manufacturing facilities in China and other Asian locations. The implementation covers three companies encompassing 30 manufacturing facilities with upwards of 100 suppliers. The deployment’s most unique characteristic is the supply chain topology of the manufacturers’ consortium. All are independent enterprises that serve a common customer and share many of the 100 suppliers. Their combined unit volume makes them the world’s largest toy manufacturer. The rapid turnover in toy designs creates material specification compliance tracking and system transparency challenges that their current PLM, LIMS and ERP systems cannot address. The consortium will be using GSQA to address this issue, enabling them to increase control and visibility of material safety characteristic testing, provide supply chain wide transparency and simplify supply-chain traceability.
- Leading pet food corporation moves to manage quality tracking in their multi-tier, multi-company supply chain with GSQA. All companies with extended supply chains are threatened by contaminated or counterfeit materials entering at some point back from the first-tier suppliers where all the auditing is done. With guidance from Operations, R&D, Purchasing and Supply Chain executive management this corporation has taken this positive step to protect its supply chain from unknown suppliers and from lack of visibility of material movement and compliance. Forward and backward traceability around the world will be a few clicks away. Only this kind of action will protect corporations with networks of suppliers that have become standard in global business.
- Largest nuclear fuel and fuel rod assembly provider has begun a GSQA implementation to manage quality and material validation across their multi-level supply chain. The unique and industry-leading project will provide real-time access to successively deeper tiers in their product fabrication supply chain with metal treatment, part fabrication, assembly creation testing at each level in support of a final customer-delivered report composed of each tier's material/spec/QC-tests for compliance and traceability. GSQA was selected for its capability to model complex supply chains for material validation with e-COA®, its web-based nonconformance management, and supply-chain-member certification and regulatory compliance, all via a single SaaS solution.
- Major mining company acquires GSQA mainly to automate outbound e-COA® (certificates of analysis) to customers via fax, e-mail or for print. Optional access can be granted by the company to its customers for on-line access for e-COA® review, trending analysis and printing. Today many quality-conscious companies are focused on delivering product test information via the COA to each customer for each shipment. The mining company is unique automating 30,000 outbound COAs annually, improving customer service and saving money deploying SaaS GSQA.
